Dear Family and Friends,
I once again have the zechus to be part of the amazing goal of completing the entire Shas with hundreds of others, in one day, under one roof.
It is a huge privilege, but at the same time a huge challenge to learn my 10 blatt well enough to chazer on the Siyum day. So why am I doing it for my 3rd consecutive year?
I am doing it for the couples who are struggling on the lonely journey to fertility.
As Rabbi Yissachar Frand said so eloquently by last year’s Siyum, unlike other "a-thon"s" that are all about the money but don"t directly help the needy, the zechus ha"torah of this "a-thon" directly benefits the couples.
- For me, it is a challenge that I chose, to aid the struggling couples; for them, it is a challenge for which they never asked.
- For me, the challenge has a “light at the end of the tunnel”, at the Siyum on the 3rd of Adar; while theirs can continue for years with no end in sight.
- For me, there is the satisfaction that only Limud Ha’torah can bring; for them, however, every day brings pain that make them want to give up.
Why don’t they?
Because they know that there are people who care for them, who drop everything and focus on helping them overcome their struggles – they know A TIME is there for them.
I know because I witnessed their dedication from the inside as a volunteer.
For these next few weeks, I’m pushing myself to reach the finish line for this amazing organization. On February 18, I will happily sit in one seat for over six hours, completing Shas to benefit ATIME couples.
Think about the zechus: not only of the learning on the siyum day, but the hours of preparing and reviewing the blatt. While you may not be able to join the learning, please join in the zechus by sponsoring my learning. Please open your hearts (and wallets) and help these couples!
Thank you for making this possible,
