Dear Family and Friends,
After experiencing the Shasathon last year, and being amazed by the contributions of my family and friends in just a short amount of time, I was determined to return to the event this year. Watching the couples on stage at the siyum describing their trials and difficulties, along with their ultimate success and joy in having children was both harrowing and heartwarming.
As I stated last year, bringing children into this world comes with a joy that is unparalleled, and as Jews it is one of our greatest obligations and opportunities, as we are able to impart our traditions onto future generations. I hope that in my small way, I can contribute to assisting people with the deep pain and struggles that come along with waiting for this joy.
Infertility is often a silent struggle. It can be uncomfortable and private— ATIME is an organization that assists couples in our community in weathering this process. It is my hope that my learning through ATIME offers an opportunity for us to work together and assist those in our community who are uncomfortable or unable to directly reach out for help, and to greet more and more couples at the siyum, and ultimately at the smachot of their children.
Please join me by sponsoring my learning. You can donate in honor of the incredible work of ATIME, or for anyone other person/occasion (I WILL LEARN IN HONOR OF EACH DEDICATION). May our shared efforts break whatever barriers are holding back the Bracha for our friends!
