HONORARY BOARD MEMBER 5783(Almost) Everyone loves a good Segulah...
How many times have you heard about a segulah that can solve a problem you're facing? Some are tried and true, others can seem bizarre. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, it may be that you, thankfully, haven't been in a particular position of need. Many times, people are inundated with these ritual remedies are struggling and vulnerable. Books have been compiled of things to do in order to bring about your desired request. When my wife and were struggling to build our family, there were many of these that we tried (and even more that we did not!) to help us bring our children into the world.
However, there is one segulah which is above all others, and it's referenced in one of the songs that we sing during Simchas Torah Hakafos: There is no Segulah like Torah! אֵין סְגֻלָה כַּתּוֹרָה!
We would love to partner with you again for the ATIME Shasathon, where we will raise money to support couples struggling with fertility challenges, and your chance to double-dip. Not only are you rewarded for your tzedaka but you receive a share in the Torah we learn as well!
Over the last nine years, ATIME's Shas-A-Thon has raised over $27.5 million, completed the entire Talmud nine times, and provided inspiration to countless couples struggling with fertility challenges (myself and my wife included), as well as their loved ones.
The 2023-5783 Shasathon will take place on February 5, 2023 and our (very!) ambitious fundraising goal for this year is $60,000 while my brother-in-law and I complete our learning slot of Bava Basra 31a-41a. With God's help, we will be able to reach both our learning and fundraising goals!
